About the Owner:

Considering I grew up on Balboa Island in the 50''''s and 60''''s, it was not hard to fall in love with boating and fishing. At the young age of 12 I began working aboard a Hatteras named "Dorado". This began a life long journey in the marine field. At the age of 18 I joined the U.S.C.G for 6 years and traveled the world. After returning I finished college and became a professional captain on yachts along the West Coast of the U.S. and throughout Mexico.

I started Maurer Marine, Inc. in 1977. Since then our strength in the marine industry has been built around our full service and support departments. Attention to detail, hard work, and follow up to our customers have allowed us to become a very successful and well diversified marine service center.
